320 cat bottom roller

UGX500,000

The bottom roller of a Caterpillar 320 is a key undercarriage component that supports the machine’s weight and guides the track chain along the track frame.

It helps distribute load evenly, ensures smooth track movement, and reduces friction and wear between the track and undercarriage, improving stability and extending the life of the track system.

The bottom roller is manufactured using high-strength alloy steel such as 50Mn or 40MnB to withstand heavy load and abrasive working conditions. The process begins with forging or casting the roller shell, followed by rough machining to form the basic shape.

The component then undergoes heat treatment and induction hardening, creating a hard wear-resistant outer surface while maintaining a tough inner core to prevent cracking under impact.

After heat treatment, the roller is subjected to precision CNC machining to achieve accurate dimensions and smooth running surfaces. Internal parts such as shafts, bushings, seals, and O-rings are assembled carefully.

The roller is then oil-filled and sealed to ensure proper lubrication and prevent dust or water contamination. Each unit goes through strict quality checks, including hardness testing, sealing/leak tests, and rotation performance tests.

Finally, the finished bottom roller is coated with anti-rust protection and paint, then packaged for delivery to ensure durability and long service life in heavy-duty excavator applications.
